HILL WHO'S WHO

Keep coming back to hear about all the latest moves on Parliament Hill.

The case of vanishing Liberal candidate

It appears that Kitchener-Conestoga Federal Liberal nominated candidate Teresa Huegle has withdrawn her name to stand in the next election.

She has removed any reference to her candidacy on her linkedin profile: http://ca.linkedin.com/pub/teresa-huegle/6/b22/5bb and sources close to the riding indicate that the Kitchener Conestoga Liberal Association is starved for cash and organization.

Former Prime Minister Paul Martin was in town for an Andrew Telegdi fundraiser on Monday evening where only 90 people showed up for the $150 a plate dinner. The Waterloo Region Record quoted Paul Martin:

“I haven’t given a speech of this kind in a long time,” Martin acknowledged, adding that he wanted to see Telegdi and former Kitchener Centre MP Karen Redman back in Ottawa.

There was no mention of Teresa Huegle in his stump speech for Waterloo Region candidates.
