HILL WHO'S WHO

Keep coming back to hear about all the latest moves on Parliament Hill.

Quinlan to PMO

The PMO shuffle continues with veteran Quebec staffer Mark Quinlan moving in on Monday as the new Director of Issues Management. This was the position recently vacated by William Stairs. Quinlan has been around the hill on and off for about ten years. In 2000 he took on the thankless task of running for the Canadian Alliance in Sherbrooke, followed by a stint in Stockwell Day's OLO. With the return of the Conservatives to power he came back to Ottawa, eventually ending up as a key player in the office of Christian Paradis - one of the rising stars in the Harper government. In 2008 Quinlan threw his hat into the electoral ring once again, running for the Conservatives in Brome-Missiquoi. We have been told his move to PMO is part of a plan to bolster the number of Quebecers in senior PMO positions.
