Nejatian returns to Kenney's Office

Way back in Canadian Alliance days in the summer of 2001 a 19 year old Kasra Nejatian was an intern in the office of Jason Kenney MP. Nejatian had got some attention a few months earlier, when during the 2000 federal election he had been the youngest candidate in the country at age 18. He ran third as the CA candidate in Don Valley East to then Liberal bigshot David Collenette.
Nejatian went to Queen's and then to U of T Law School and eventually to the blue chip Wall Street law firm Ropes & Gray in the Big Apple. Despite this he was known to keep in touch with many Conservative political activists, including now Minister Kenney.

Keen Ottawa observers of his facebook emailed us to say that on December 28 he posted "My last night in my apartment in the East Village. I am giving it up tomorrow. More on why later."

Then mid-last week he turned up in Jason Kenney's office as the new Director of Multiculturalism. He is basically responsible for Kenney's outreach to what they call "ethno-cultural communities."
