Keep coming back to hear about all the latest moves on Parliament Hill.
With the departure of long-time Chief of Staff Chris Froggatt (who moved to National PR in June), Government House Leader John Baird is reaching into the past to restock his team. First, former policy staffer Gary Kellar has moved over as the new Chief of Staff. Kellar has been around the hill for at least decade, most recently as the Director of the Conservative Research Group, and in Baird's office prior to that. In the days of the Canadian Alliance he worked for long-time St. Albert MP John Williams, where he was known as one of the best staffers in opposition. Also returning to Baird's office is former policy advisor Dan Mader. Mader has spent the last year or so working for a technology company in Toronto, as the Chief Technology Officer. He has been involved in Conservative politics since his student days at the University of Waterloo, grew up in Ottawa and is returning to his hometown for an unspecified role in Baird`s office.
